Heartland Int'l FC in more trouble as winless streak continues

It was such a cruel encounter for Heartland International FC as they played a 1-1 draw against the visitors, Sunshine Stars of Akure.


The Naze Millionaires have been enduring poor results which have dropped them further into relegation waters.


Heartland International FC on Sunday played a grueling 1-1 match against a more determined and better-managed Sunshine Stars of Akure for the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 23.


The match was played at Akwa Township Stadium due to the unavailability of the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri due to a bad pitch.


The visitors, Owena Boys, scored first through Promise Awosanmi, in the first minutes, perhaps one of the fastest goals of the season.


The host rallied around just in the 6th minute as Onyekachi Okafor drew level for Heartland FC.


Sunshine Stars FC's new gaffer, Kennedy Boboye, however, showed his worth by curtailing all attempts of Heartland International FC.
