Swedish Allsvenskan side Hammarby IF has officially completed the signing of Nigerian teenage sensation Imran Musa. The 18-year-old winger joins the Stockholm-based club from Beyond Limits Football Academy, a renowned talent hub in Nigeria. The deal was finalized on Wednesday, with the Nigerian academy confirming that all transfer formalities and principles had been settled for the player’s move to Europe.
Musa, a native of Kano State, has been widely recognized as one of the most promising attackers in the Nigerian youth circuit. Primarily a right-footed player who operates from the left flank, he is noted for his explosive pace and technical proficiency. His developmental path saw him move from Shield City FA in Kano to Beyond Limits in Ogun State, where his career trajectory accelerated significantly.
During his time with Beyond Limits, Musa was a pivotal figure in a highly successful era for the youth side. He played an instrumental role in securing the 2025 TCC Cup and the prestigious 2025 Gothia Cup title in Sweden. It was during these international youth tournaments that he caught the eye of European scouts, eventually leading to his permanent move to the Swedish capital.
To facilitate his transition into European football, Musa will initially join Hammarby’s development squad, Hammarby Talang FF. This team competes in Ettan Norra, which is the third tier of the Swedish league system. The club utilizes this pathway to help young foreign acquisitions adapt to the tactical demands and climate of Scandinavia before promoting them to the senior Allsvenskan roster.
The transfer was coordinated by Fella Sports Management in collaboration with Global Soccer Management. This partnership highlights the increasing professionalization of talent exports from Nigeria to the European market. Musa is currently focusing on integrating into the training setup in Stockholm and becoming familiar with his new teammates and the club’s sporting philosophy.
The youngster is expected to be available for selection in upcoming developmental fixtures against Piteå IF and Vasalund IF. If he maintains the form shown in Nigeria, he is tipped for a rapid promotion to the Hammarby first team. The senior squad has had a balanced start to their league campaign and views Musa as a long-term investment for their attacking department.
