Gusau/Ahlan Pre-season: Flamingo FC punish Chanji Boys in 3-0 rout

Flamingo FC began their 2026 Gusau/Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament campaign in impressive fashion, cruising to a 3-0 victory over Chanji Boys FC at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina.

The encounter was largely decided by Flamingo's efficiency in front of goal, as they capitalised on key moments to secure a comfortable win despite Chanji Boys showing attacking intent at different stages of the match.

Flamingo gradually took control of the opening exchanges and were rewarded in the 20th minute when Abba Attah produced a composed finish to give his side the lead.

Chanji Boys attempted to respond before the interval but found Flamingo's defence difficult to break down, leaving the Katsina-based side trailing at the break.

The second half saw Chanji Boys increase the pressure as they searched for an equaliser, but Flamingo remained organised and posed a constant threat whenever they broke forward.

Their counter-attacking approach paid dividends in the 60th minute when Abdurrahman Danda doubled the advantage with a calm finish.

The second goal further unsettled Chanji Boys, who committed more players forward in an effort to get back into the contest.

Flamingo took advantage of the spaces created behind the Chanji Boys defence, and Bilya Abubakar put the result beyond doubt in the 87th minute to complete the 3-0 victory.

The commanding result gives Flamingo FC an encouraging start to their group-stage campaign, while Chanji Boys will have to regroup and improve their finishing ahead of their next fixture.
