The turnaround was completed shortly after the restart when Amarachukwu Uche produced a superb finish from a corner in the 48th minute to give Abakaliki a 2–1 victory over the Oga Boys.
The result set up a fascinating final between two teams that have shown considerable attacking quality and competitive spirit throughout the tournament.
With Grassrunners seeking to crown an unbeaten debut with silverware and Abakaliki aiming to prove their mettle against the surprise package of the competition, Saturday’s encounter promises a compelling winner-takes-all battle.
