Ikorodu City and Inter Lagos began their 14th Gold Cup Pre-season Tournament campaigns with a 1-1 draw in an entertaining Lagos Derby at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena on Thursday. Both teams showed attacking intent, but neither could find the winning goal after the break.

Ikorodu City made the stronger start and immediately put pressure on the Inter Lagos defence. Their early attacking pressure eventually produced the opening goal in the 29th minute.
