Posted : 04 December 2023

Over the weekend, Ghanaian talents lit up the European football stage with notable performances in their respective leagues. Antoine Semenyo, the burgeoning winger for Bournemouth, showcased his growing prowess by securing the lead against Aston Villa. Despite the 2-2 draw, Semenyo's calm finish marked his third goal of the season, reinforcing his impact with three goals and an assist in seven league starts.

Mohammed Kudus, another Ghanaian winger, continued to impress for West Ham United, netting his third Premier League goal. Kudus opened the scoring in a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace, displaying composure as he finished a low cross in the box. With six goals and an assist in 11 starts across all competitions, Kudus is establishing himself as a standout player in the Premier League.

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah may have experienced a goal drought in the last two Premier League games, but his influence remains vital. In a thrilling 4-3 win over Fulham, Salah contributed a crucial assist for Wataru Endo's decisive goal. This marked Salah's sixth league assist of the season, complementing his impressive tally of 10 goals.

Senegal forward Nicolas Jackson made a significant impact for Chelsea in their 3-2 victory over Brighton, providing the assist for Levi Colwill's goal. Jackson, who has found his rhythm in recent weeks, delivered a perfectly timed looping header back across goal, earning his first assist of the season to accompany his six league goals.

Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo played a pivotal role in their 3-1 triumph over Luton Town, contributing an assist for Ben Mee's goal. Mbeumo's corner, headed in via a deflection, showcased his playmaking ability, earning him a third assist of the season alongside his six goals.

In La Liga, Inaki Williams of Athletic Bilbao starred in a resounding 4-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano. Williams notched his seventh goal of the season, displaying clinical finishing with a side-footed effort following a brilliant ball to the back post. With three assists, Williams has now reached double figures for goal-contributions in the 2023/24 campaign.

Nigerian talent Umar Sadiq shone for Real Sociedad, scoring in consecutive LaLiga matches for the first time in over a year. His spectacular long-range shot from 35 yards found the back of the net in a 1-1 draw with Osasuna, showcasing Sadiq's high-quality contributions during a purple-patch of form.
