Flying Eagles Coach, Bosso unveils final squad for 13th African Games

Head Coach Isah Ladan Bosso has selected goalkeeper Nathaniel Nwosu, captain Daniel Bameyi, midfielder Daniel Daga, and forwards Charles Agada and Olalekan Ibrahim for the list of 20 players representing the Flying Eagles in the men's football event of the 13th African Games held in Ghana.


Bosso has also included defenders Musa Abdullahi and Godwin Sampson, midfielders Favour Izuogu and Ibrahim Idris, along with forwards Nasir Muhammed and Sunday Joseph.


Nigeria is set to compete with Uganda, South Sudan, Senegal, and Tunisia in Group B of the men's football event starting on Thursday. The Nigerian squad is scheduled to depart from Abuja on Tuesday, with matches taking place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Legon.


In Group A, Ghana, Congo, Benin Republic, and The Gambia are the participating teams, with the Accra Sports Stadium as the venue.


Nigeria finished as runners-up in the men's football event of the 12th African Games held in Rabat, Morocco, in October 2019, losing to Burkina Faso in the final.
