Femi Azeez Brace Inspires Super Eagles to Vital 2-0 Unity Cup Victory Over Zimbabwe

Nigeria secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe in the semifinal of the 2026 Unity Cup at The Valley stadium in London on Tuesday night. Debuting forward Femi Azeez stole the spotlight by scoring twice to guide the under-rebuild national side into Saturday's highly anticipated tournament final.

The Millwall attacker made an instant international impact by scoring the opening goal inside the first five minutes of play. He then doubled the advantage with a composed finish just after the hour mark to end any hopes of a Zimbabwean fightback. Head coach Éric Chelle used the tournament to build critical squad depth after Nigeria failed to qualify for the upcoming World Cup tournament.
