Europe's biggest clubs remain active in the transfer market as preparations continue for the 2026/27 season, with several major developments emerging across the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga.

Casemiro enjoyed a winning start to his Inter Miami career after helping the MLS side beat CF Montreal 1-0 on Saturday. The Brazilian midfielder, who joined David Beckham's club from Manchester United this summer, delivered an assured midfield display by winning more possession than any other player on the pitch while maintaining an impressive passing accuracy. Luis Suarez converted an 81st-minute penalty to hand Inter Miami victory as Lionel Messi continued his recovery following the FIFA World Cup.

Inter Milan have publicly confirmed their interest in Tottenham Hotspur captain Cristian Romero. Sporting director Piero Ausilio admitted negotiations are underway with both the player and Spurs, although he acknowledged that any agreement would be financially challenging. The Serie A champions view the Argentina international as one of their leading defensive targets, but discussions are expected to continue for some time.

Bayern Munich have dismissed speculation linking Michael Olise with a move to Real Madrid.
