The Enyimba Supporters Club has thrown its weight behind the club's management and players ahead of the 2026/2027 EuroMatch Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter with Inter Lagos.
Chairman of the supporters club, Steven Ukwueni, called for unity and stability around the team, urging individuals seeking to interfere with the club's management to allow the leadership to concentrate on its responsibilities.
Ukwueni made the call while addressing the media and supporters ahead of the match, stressing that the supporters remained firmly behind the management led by former Nigeria captain Kanu Nwankwo.
“Those who want to grab the club by force should stay far away from the club and allow the management to do its good work,” he said.
He added that the supporters would continue to give their full backing to the players and management as the team prepares for the league encounter.
“We are fully behind the club's management and the players,” Ukwueni affirmed.
The supporters' position comes as Enyimba prepare for a demanding league fixture against Inter Lagos, with the team expected to draw motivation from the backing of its supporters.
Ukwueni urged Enyimba fans to turn out in their numbers, wear the club's colours and create an atmosphere capable of encouraging the players throughout the encounter.
The supporters club chairman said the backing of fans remained an important part of football, particularly during challenging periods, as players often draw motivation from the atmosphere created by supporters.
The supporters' call for unity is therefore expected to form part of the build-up to the encounter, with the club seeking maximum concentration on the task ahead.
Enyimba and Inter Lagos will face each other in the EuroMatch NPFL fixture as both sides continue their campaigns in the 2026/2027 season.
