2025/2026 NPFL Matchday 19: El-Kanemi Warriors Seek Christmas Gift in Yenagoa

El-Kanemi Warriors FC have embarked on a journey of hope and determination, aiming to secure a victory that would serve as a Christmas gift to their supporters as they face Bayelsa United in Matchday 19 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The encounter will take place this Sunday in Yenagoa, with Bayelsa United hosting the Babagana Umara Zulum Boys. El-Kanemi Warriors departed Maiduguri in high spirits, confident of picking up a vital result on the road.

Following their impressive performance against Enyimba, the players are fully focused and determined to build on that momentum.

Just as they promised to put smiles on the faces of their fans in the match against the People’s Elephant, the team is ready to deliver another outstanding performance and return to Maiduguri with a positive result.

Speaking ahead of the team’s departure, Alhaji Waziri Isa Mai Qatar, Team Manager of El-Kanemi Warriors FC, called on fans to continue praying for victory and an injury-free match.

“I know how deeply you love El-Kanemi Warriors, and Insha’Allah, we will do everything possible to make you happy and justify your belief in our capabilities.

“The Borno State Government is doing everything humanly possible to ensure that El-Kanemi Warriors compete favourably with other teams in the league.”

He also praised the commitment of the state’s sports leadership, noting the tireless efforts of the commissioner, Comrade Saina Buba.

“You can all see how hardworking and committed our commissioner is, going up and down to ensure that El-Kanemi Warriors excel. We wish him well in all his endeavours.”
