The Babagana Umara Zulum Boys went into the game with high hopes of getting a positive result away from home. The match was an exciting one, with the Warriors dominating large spells of the first half.
Goalkeeper Idrissu Ibrahim put up an outstanding performance, producing a series of brilliant saves to deny the Seasiders an early lead. The first half ended goalless, with both teams showing strong attacking intent.
The second half resumed with the highly motivated Comrade Saina Buba Boys displaying their famous tiki-taka style of play, forcing Warri Wolves to defend deep in front of their home fans.
El-Kanemi Warriors responded with some highly tactical substitutions, which proved effective as the team held firm until the final whistle.
Four minutes of added time were played at the University of Ozoro Stadium, and El-Kanemi Warriors held on to earn a crucial point.
The Warriors have now picked up five points on the road so far and will be hoping for more positive results as they continue their push for a continental spot.
