The management of El-Kanemi Warriors FC have announced the resumption of camp for both new and returning players ahead of the second stanza of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The club confirmed that invited players from various teams have arrived safely in Maiduguri and will undergo assessment as part of preparations for the league’s restart.
El-Kanemi Warriors are expected to begin the second stanza by hosting Bayelsa United next week, as they seek an improved performance in the second half of the campaign.
Head coach Kabiru Dogo expressed confidence in the squad’s ability to meet the targets set for the season, stressing the importance of focus and commitment during the upcoming fixtures.
Meanwhile, the Honourable Commissioner for Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Comrade Saina Buba, attended the closing ceremony of the New GRA Peace and Unity Cup Competition.
Also present at the final were the Chairman of El-Kanemi Warriors FC, Honourable Comrade Mainu Ibrahim Mustapha, the club’s Welfare Officer Malam Usman Zumami, the Camp Commandant, and players of the team. During the event, the Chairman presented awards to outstanding participants.
