Dominik Szoboszlai Signs New Liverpool Deal Until 2031

Dominik Szoboszlai has ended speculation over his future by signing a new five-year contract with Liverpool, extending his stay at Anfield until 2031. The Hungary international reached an agreement with the club after months of negotiations, giving Liverpool a significant boost ahead of the new season under head coach Andoni Iraola.

The 25-year-old has become one of Liverpool's most influential players since arriving from RB Leipzig in a £60 million move in 2023. He enjoyed an outstanding campaign last season, contributing 13 goals and 12 assists across all competitions, performances that established him as one of the Reds' key figures.

Speaking after signing the extension, Szoboszlai insisted his ambitions remain unchanged. The midfielder said he is determined to continue setting an example for his teammates and wants to help Liverpool compete for every available trophy, including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool's decision to secure Szoboszlai's long-term future reflects the club's belief that his best years are still ahead of him. His commitment also strengthens his credentials to become the club's next vice-captain following Andy Robertson's departure, with the Hungarian already serving as captain of his national team.

Szoboszlai has already returned to Merseyside for pre-season training and is expected to travel with Liverpool on their tour of the United States. With his contract now resolved, both player and club can focus fully on preparations for the 2026-27 campaign and their pursuit of major honours.
