Doma United Denies Reports Linking Majayogbe With Club

Doma United FC has dismissed reports claiming it has completed the signing of goalkeeper Muyiwa Majayogbe from Crown FC, Osogbo, describing the publication as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Nigeria National League (NNL) club specifically denied a report published by G25Sports, insisting that it had neither concluded nor announced any transfer involving the goalkeeper.

The club said the report was published without its knowledge, consent, or authorization, adding that no official communication had been made regarding the purported transfer.

Doma United condemned what it described as the increasing trend of publishing unverified transfer stories, noting that such reports were capable of misleading supporters, players, stakeholders, and the general public.

The club urged media organisations, bloggers, and social media platforms to verify information before publication and advised that only announcements made through its official communication channels should be regarded as authentic.

It also warned that any individual or organisation that continues to publish false, defamatory, or misleading information capable of tarnishing the club's reputation could face legal action.

Doma United further appealed to its supporters and the wider football community to disregard the report linking Majayogbe with the club and rely exclusively on official club statements for accurate information.

The club reaffirmed its commitment to transparency in all transfer dealings and stressed that any confirmed player acquisition would be communicated through its official platforms. It also encouraged supporters to remain patient and avoid relying on unverified reports during the transfer window.
