Defensive discipline earns AloBoys FA narrow friendly win over Lasegski FC

AloBoys FA delivered a composed and resilient performance to edge past Lasegski FC in a tightly contested Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) friendly, with defensive solidity and early attacking intent shaping the outcome.

The defining moment of the encounter arrived in the 13th minute when Joshua capitalised on a sharp attacking move to hand AloBoys FA the lead. That early breakthrough ultimately stood as the winner in a match where clear-cut chances were at a premium.

Despite taking the lead, AloBoys FA remained on the front foot for large spells, with Pius, Sokunbi, and Cisse all coming close to extending the advantage across both halves.

However, a combination of near misses and Lasegski FC’s defensive response ensured the scoreline remained narrow.

Lasegski FC, on their part, grew into the contest and tested AloBoys’ resolve, particularly from set-piece situations. Goalkeeper Shola Aberi emerged as a key figure, producing crucial saves from well-taken free kicks in both halves to preserve his side’s lead.
