De Zerbi Frustrated as Tottenham Self-Destruct in 1-1 Draw with Leeds

Tottenham Hotspur’s turbulent season took another damaging turn as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds United in a tense Premier League encounter that exposed their ongoing fragility.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi cut a visibly distressed figure on the touchline, with his frustration captured as he pulled a hood over his face during another evening of missed opportunities and costly errors from his side.

Spurs had taken the lead through a stunning strike from Mathys Tel, who delivered a moment of brilliance to put his side in control. Tensions rose further in stoppage time when Tottenham’s appeals for a penalty involving James Maddison were dismissed after VAR review, adding to the sense of frustration inside the stadium.

Despite late heroics from goalkeeper Antonín Kinsky, whose crucial save preserved a point, Spurs were unable to find a winner, leaving their survival fight finely balanced heading into the final fixtures.

De Zerbi admitted his side were affected by pressure, praising their spirit but acknowledging that repeated mistakes continue to undermine their progress at a crucial stage of the season.
