Crystal Palace may sell striker who trained with Flying Eagles

Posted : 30 April 2025

Ademola Ola-Adebomi, who joined Crystal Palace thirteen years ago, is reportedly facing a potential permanent departure from the club. Known for his strength and presence as a center-forward, Ola-Adebomi was part of the dual-national players who trained with the Flying Eagles ahead of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, though he ultimately didn't make the squad for the tournament in Egypt.

As reported by Football Insider, Crystal Palace is looking to offload Ola-Adebomi at the conclusion of the current season. This has drawn attention from various clubs within the English Football League, who may consider signing the player.

The London-born forward began the season on loan at Belgian club SK Beveren, where he made eight appearances in the Challenger Pro League. However, due to limited playing time, he was recalled by Crystal Palace during the January transfer window.

After returning to Selhurst Park, Ola-Adebomi has showcased impressive form, netting nine goals in just ten appearances for the club's development squad in the league. His standout performances earned him a nomination for February’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month.

Although he has not yet made his senior debut for Crystal Palace's first team, Ola-Adebomi has been called up four times to the senior squad, though he has remained an unused substitute on each occasion.

With only one year left on his contract, which expires on July 1, 2025, Crystal Palace is open to listening to offers for the left-footed striker, potentially allowing him to move to a new club in the upcoming transfer window.

Despite his lack of senior appearances for Crystal Palace, Ola-Adebomi has shown his potential in the development squad and is likely to attract interest from clubs in the EFL looking to add a promising forward to their ranks.
