Crown FC Hand Captaincy to Oyetunde Ahead of 2026/2027 NNL Campaign

Posted : 29 October 2026

Crown FC of Ogbomoso have entrusted Oyetunde Samuel Olalekan with the responsibility of leading the team as captain for the 2026/2027 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The Ajilete Warriors also named Abdulahi Saka as assistant captain, with both players expected to provide leadership as the club prepares for a challenging campaign.

The appointments come ahead of Crown FC’s opening fixture against Heartland FC of Owerri, where the newly appointed leaders will have an early opportunity to set the tone for the season.

Olalekan is expected to lead by example, foster unity within the squad, and keep his teammates focused on the club’s objectives, while Saka will support him in promoting discipline and effective communication.

Their leadership will be crucial as Crown FC seek to translate their preparations into consistent performances throughout the campaign.

The Ogbomoso-based side have spent months preparing for the new season, working to improve their tactical organisation, physical fitness, and coordination ahead of the competitive challenges.

With the captaincy structure now established, the Ajilete Warriors will be looking to build a cohesive squad capable of confronting their opponents with confidence and determination.

The opening encounter against Heartland will provide an early test of the team’s readiness, as Crown FC seek to begin their campaign on a positive note.

Both Olalekan and Saka will be expected to uphold the club’s values of discipline, commitment, and teamwork while helping their teammates maintain focus throughout the season.

Crown FC remain determined to turn their pre-season efforts into positive results as they embark on the 2026/2027 NNL campaign.
