Crown FC announces retained squad, opens camp for 2026/27 NNL campaign

Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso has announced the list of players retained for the 2026/2027 Nigeria National League (NNL) season as preparations intensify for the new campaign.

The club's management confirmed that pre-season training will commence on Monday, July 20, 2026, with all retained players and members of the technical crew expected to report to camp ahead of the first training session.

According to the club, the early resumption is part of efforts to ensure adequate preparation for the new season as Crown FC targets a strong showing in the 2026/2027 NNL campaign.

The management also revealed that an open screening exercise for aspiring players will begin on the same day, offering talented footballers the opportunity to earn a place in the squad.

Players retained for the new season include Oyetunde Samuel Lekan, Fabode Olaitan, Oyedeji Samuel Dada, Francis Saviour, Olayiwola Habeeb, Alebiosu Tunde, Adegbola Samson, Olayiwola Waliu, Saka Abdullahi, Gherefun Ganiu, Abdullahi Akeem, Emmanuel David Okoye, Ajala Damilola, Moradeyo Abel, and Mohammed Saeed.

The club wished all returning players a safe journey back to camp as preparations get underway for what it hopes will be a successful 2026/2027 season. The combination of retained players and the upcoming screening exercise reflects Crown FC's determination to build a competitive squad capable of achieving its objectives in the new Nigeria National League season.
