Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his immense pride after watching his eldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, make his debut for the Portugal Under-15 team. Ronaldo Jr, aged 14, entered the match in the 54th minute as Portugal triumphed 4-1 over Japan in a tournament in Croatia. His grandmother, Dolores Aveiro, was also present to witness the milestone, showing her support from the stands.
Ronaldo Jr's debut attracted attention from scouts, including those from Manchester United, the club where Ronaldo Sr made his mark before his current tenure with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner shared his pride on Instagram, congratulating his son with the words, "Congratulations on your debut for Portugal, son. Very proud of you." In the match, Rafael Cabral scored a hat-trick for Portugal before Ronaldo Jr made his appearance on the field.
Currently playing for Al-Nassr, Ronaldo Sr has enjoyed an illustrious career, scoring a record 136 goals for Portugal. He led the national team to victory at Euro 2016 and the Nations League title in 2019.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo Jr continues his development at the youth level, with Portugal's U15 team set to face Greece and England in their next fixtures at the Vlatko Markovic tournament.
