Posted : 30 April 2024

The Confluence Queens chairman, Hon. Abdulmalik Isah Dolly, on Monday at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium, addressed the players and officials of Confluence Queens FC after the team's usual training session.

The chairman thanked the players and officials of the team for their efforts and determination in booking the Super Six ticket, while also assuring the team of government continual support towards more success.

"I really want to thank you all for making our Super Six dream a reality. The technical crew led by Sabo Okala has done a wonderful job. I'm proud of you coaches, my players, the team manager; thank you for your efforts. The backroom staff were also not left out."

"I promise to do more to ensure we have a good outing at the Super Six; your welfare is our major priority. I will continue to put in more efforts," said Dolly.

The chairman also gave the team the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira (100,000) as appreciation.

The captain of the team, Hauwa Abdullahi, thanked the chairman on behalf of the team for his efforts and support.

"On behalf of the team, my chairman, we say thank you for your unrelenting efforts; we really appreciate you. We are grateful and shall continue to put in more effort. We will do our best at the Super Six to make the state proud."

Confluence Queens, who finished second in group A, will be joined by others like Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia, Heartland Queens FC of Owerri, Edo Queens FC of Benin, Bayelsa Queens FC of Yenagoa, and Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt for this year's NWPL Super Six to battle for the 2023/24 title.
