Chukwueze and three others listed in Milan’s summer plans

Samuel Chukwueze, the Nigerian winger for AC Milan and the Super Eagles, along with three of his teammates, have been put on the transfer list following Milan’s failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.


The 26-year-old joined AC Milan in the summer of 2023 but struggled to find consistent form under multiple coaches during his time at the club.


In 69 appearances for the Rossoneri, Chukwueze has managed just eight goals and six assists across all competitions, reflecting a challenging period for the winger.


While their city rivals Inter Milan narrowly missed out on the Serie A title to Napoli, AC Milan finished a disappointing 8th in the league, failing to secure European football next season.


This setback has had a significant impact on Milan’s finances, forcing the club to consider selling several key players to balance the books and comply with financial fair play regulations.


According to reports from Siempre Milan, Theo Hernandez, Samuel Chukwueze, Malick Thiaw, and Yunus Musah are the primary candidates expected to leave San Siro this summer.


Theo Hernandez, with interest from clubs in Spain, France, and Saudi Arabia, is likely to be sold given he has just one year remaining on his contract, while Chukwueze has attracted offers from the English Premier League, making his next destination one of the most anticipated moves of the transfer window.
