Chukwuani, Nigeria-eligible player, sends message to Man Utd's new signing

Manchester United has made a significant addition to their squad by signing Denmark international Rasmus Højlund to a contract that will see him at Old Trafford until 2028, with the possibility of an additional year, contingent on international clearance. 

The acquisition of Højlund from Atalanta suggests that Manchester United may not pursue the signing of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen during this summer's transfer window.

Højlund enjoyed a prolific season in the Italian Serie A, impressing with nine goals and four assists in 32 appearances. 

Additionally, on the international stage, he has maintained an impressive record, averaging a goal per game for Denmark's national team. 

His goal-scoring prowess was evident even in his previous club, Atalanta, where only Ademola Lookman and Teun Koopmeiners scored more league goals.

At just 20 years old, Højlund has drawn comparisons to another young Scandinavian sensation, Manchester City's Erling Haaland, who made a remarkable impact in his debut season in England, netting 52 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions. 

His arrival at Manchester United has generated excitement among fans and teammates alike.

Among those thrilled with Højlund's signing is Lyngby's Nigeria-eligible midfielder Tochi Chukwuani, who shares Danish heritage with the young striker. 

Chukwuani expressed his delight on social media, responding to Højlund's post on Instagram with a warm message in Danish, "Vi ses" (translated to English, see you), accompanied by handshake and heart emojis.

Chukwuani's connection to Manchester United doesn't end there. The club's talent scouts have been keeping a close eye on him during Denmark's European U21 Championship qualifier against Wales in June. 

As both players with Danish roots continue to rise in their careers, their presence could add a new dimension to Manchester United's attacking force. With Højlund's potential and Chukwuani's emerging talent, fans can expect exciting developments at Old Trafford.
