Chidera Ojukwu’s Brace Sparks Goal of the Season Talk in Likeminds FC Win

Likeminds FC striker Chidera Ojukwu delivered a sensational performance, scoring a brilliant brace to inspire his side to a hard-fought 2-1 victory over De Royal Galaxy in an entertaining NLO clash at the Old Parade Ground, Area 10, Abuja.

The forward stole the spotlight with two spectacular goals that immediately placed him in early contention for the NLO Goal of the Season award. His finishing quality and composure proved decisive in a tightly contested encounter.

After a goalless first half, Ojukwu broke the deadlock in the 49th minute with a moment of brilliance. He cleverly found space inside the box to meet a cut-back from the right and calmly dribbled past the goalkeeper and two defenders before curling the ball into the top-left corner.

De Royal Galaxy responded quickly, equalising five minutes later through Sunday Diel, who powered a header from a corner past the goalkeeper to level the score at 1-1.

With the match seemingly heading for a draw, Ojukwu produced another moment of magic in the 84th minute. After the opposing goalkeeper rushed out to clear a loose ball, Ojukwu spotted him off his line and unleashed a long-range strike from near the halfway line, sending the ball soaring into the top corner.

His second stunning goal sealed all three points for Likeminds FC and capped a remarkable individual display that drew admiration from fans and teammates alike.

The performance firmly establishes Ojukwu as one of the standout players of the 2026 NLO season, with his double strike already generating excitement across the league.
