Chelsea Stun Nottingham Forest with Late Comeback to Secure 3-2 Victory

In a thrilling encounter at the City Ground, Chelsea clinched a dramatic 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest, with late goals from Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson sealing the win. Despite Forest's spirited performance, the defeat leaves them still facing relegation, with their Premier League survival hanging in the balance, although their superior goal difference provides a glimmer of hope.

 

The early stages saw Chelsea take the lead in the sixth minute, as Mykhailo Mudryk capitalized on Cole Palmer's precise through ball to slot home a composed finish. However, Forest responded emphatically, with Willy Boly finding the net in the 16th minute to level the score and ignite the home crowd's excitement.

 

As the match progressed, the tension mounted, and when Callum Hudson-Odoi put Forest ahead in the 74th minute, the atmosphere reached fever pitch. But Chelsea displayed their resilience, as Sterling restored parity in the 80th minute with a clinical finish, before Jackson completed the comeback just two minutes later, nodding in a pinpoint cross from skipper Reece James to secure all three points for the visitors.
