Chelsea close to signing Caicedo, Arsenal focus on Rice and Havertz

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea is edging closer to the signing of Moisés Caicedo in a potential £80 million deal.
The Brighton midfielder has been a target for both Chelsea and London rivals Arsenal, but reports states that Arsenal has withdrawn their interest in the Ecuadorian player after having two bids rejected during the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, Arsenal is now focused on securing a £100 million-plus move for Declan Rice, the captain of West Ham United, as well as pursuing Chelsea forward Kai Havertz.
During the previous season, Caicedo made a strong impression with 37 appearances in the Premier League. He played a key role in Brighton's historic sixth-place finish, which secured their first-ever qualification for European competition.
Despite signing a new long-term contract in March that runs until 2027, Caicedo is said to be nearing an agreement on personal terms with Chelsea, according to Romano's information.
