C2E Sports Academy Hit 10 as NWFL Nationwide Opens in Aba

Posted : 17 August 2026

C2E Sports Academy made the biggest statement on the opening day of the 2026 NWFL Nationwide with a 10-1 demolition of Bayelsa Princesses FC in Group B in Aba. The competition is scheduled to run until August 23 as clubs battle for progress within the Nigerian women’s football league structure.

Agnes Ohuche opened the scoring for C2E after only two minutes. Nwaboghogu Oluchi then struck twice in the 28th and 30th minutes to give the Abia-based side a commanding advantage before half-time.

Temple Glory added another in the 41st minute, while Ngozi Miracle scored in the 50th. Ohuche then completed her outstanding individual performance with three more goals in the 48th, 52nd and 62nd minutes to finish with four goals.

Ogu Stella added two further goals in the 67th and 75th minutes. Bayelsa Princesses eventually found a consolation through Amameniye Naomi in the 81st minute, but the result had long been beyond doubt.

The emphatic victory gives C2E an early advantage in Group B and underlines their attacking strength. Ohuche’s four-goal contribution was the standout individual display of the opening round.

Group A produced a much tighter contest as Solo Wonders Babes FC defeated Spunky Blazers FA 2-1. Ndiribe Chinenye scored twice in the opening 18 minutes before Enabulele Mercy pulled one back for Spunky Blazers in the 54th minute.

Onimarg FC also opened their Group C campaign with three points after beating NAF Queens 3-1. Yusuf Islamiat scored twice in the sixth and 22nd minutes, while Ogunlari Adewunmi completed the victory with a 90th-minute strike.

NAF Queens’ only goal came through an own goal by Olufisayo Daleborah in the 14th minute. The result leaves Onimarg with an early platform as the group race develops.

Obosa Queens completed the day’s winners with a 3-2 victory over Plateau United Queens in Group D. Nnachi Chinemerem, Oprah Emmanuel and Aliu Rofia put Obosa three goals ahead before Plateau United Queens mounted a late fightback.

Okoloko Juliet scored twice in the 75th and 84th minutes to reduce the deficit. Obosa were then reduced to 10 players when Oliwo Towin received a second yellow card in the 86th minute, but the side held on for the victory.

The opening results have provided an early indication of the attacking quality in this year’s Nationwide competition. C2E’s 10-goal performance, in particular, sets a high benchmark for the remaining fixtures.
