Bussdor United FC maintained their impressive start to the 2026 NLO Cup with a resilient 1-1 draw against RBM Sports at the Bwari Township Stadium on Wednesday.
The result extended Bussdor’s positive run in the North Central Zone campaign, following their 2-1 victory over Young Kogites at ASCO Camp in Ajaokuta.
After a goalless first half, RBM Sports broke the deadlock in the 49th minute through Wisdom Samuel, who headed home from a corner kick to put the hosts ahead.
Bussdor responded with renewed determination and restored parity in the 60th minute when Onyebuchi Gladson’s effort took a slight deflection before finding the back of the net.
The equalizer rewarded Bussdor’s tactical discipline, while RBM Sports were left frustrated by their inability to convert several first-half opportunities into goals.
Bussdor’s ability to recover from a second-half deficit further underlined their resilience as they continued to gather valuable points on the road.
Coach Isa Jatau described the NLO Cup as an important platform for assessing players ahead of the NLO Division One campaign.
The competition provides Bussdor with an opportunity to evaluate their squad, build cohesion, and strengthen their preparations for the challenges of the forthcoming league season.
