Borussia Moenchengladbach edges past Wolfsburg 1-0 to reach German Cup quarter-finals

In a hard-fought contest, Borussia Moenchengladbach secured a 1-0 victory over VfL Wolfsburg, earning a spot in the German Cup quarter-finals. The decisive goal came in the last minute of extra time, with Manu Kone capitalizing on a swift break, heading in at the far post. The match, which lacked notable highlights during the regulation 90 minutes, saw the Foals seizing the opportunity in the dying moments of extra time to progress.

 

Wolfsburg had their chances in the second half, particularly in stoppage time, as Jonas Wind missed two golden opportunities to secure a late winner. Despite their efforts, Borussia Moenchengladbach's resilience and the clinical finish by Kone ultimately proved decisive in securing their advancement to the last eight of the German Cup.
