Best Talent Football Club has officially commenced its 2026 scouting programme at Agroterra Resort and Sports Academy, Joga Orile, Yewa, Ogun State.
The two-day event, which kicked off on Wednesday, February 18, and concludes on Thursday, February 19, is designed to identify and nurture promising football talents across Nigeria.
The scouting initiative, tagged “Best Talent Hunt,” is expected to attract top European scouts seeking emerging talents. According to the club’s Chairman, Adeyinka Adeyemo, representatives from Germany are already in Nigeria to monitor the activities.
“The scouts are in Nigeria to monitor the Best Talent Hunt programme, which runs from Wednesday, February 18 to Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Agroterra Resort and Sports Academy, Joga Orile, Yewa, Ogun State,” Adeyemo stated.
A FIFA-licensed agent based in Germany, Adewunmi Gbenga, is leading a delegation of European scouts at the programme.

The programme coordinator, Sikiru Ibrahim, explained that the invited clubs consist mainly of competitive youth teams and third-division sides with established football structures.
“The invited clubs are within the Best Talent FC network and have maintained cordial relationships over the years. They are primarily third-division clubs and standard youth teams across the country with proven records of competitive football,” Ibrahim said.
Speaking on the rationale behind the initiative, the General Manager of Best Talent FC, Mowe, emphasized that the programme aims to create realistic pathways for talented Nigerian players to pursue professional careers in Europe.
“We have organized similar programmes in Ibadan in previous years and also here in Ogun State. The overwhelming results encouraged us to expand the initiative. This event is designed to provide genuine opportunities for talented and budding players to transition to Europe,” he said.
