2025/2026 NNL Season: Best Goalkeeper of the Season to Receive N50,000 Reward

In a bid to motivate and encourage young goalkeepers in the Nigeria National League (NNL), John Dosu, a prominent figure in Nigerian football, has pledged to reward the league’s best goalkeeper with N50,000 at the end of the season.

 

In an exclusive interview, Dosu emphasized his desire to nurture talent, noting that today’s generation of players has more opportunities than he did during his playing days.

 

"The money is small, but I’m doing what I can," he said. "I urge anyone willing to support this initiative to join in, so we can collectively bring out the best in our goalkeepers."

 

Dosu’s gesture is expected to boost morale and inspire goalkeepers across the NNL. Beyond the financial reward, the initiative provides a platform for young goalkeepers to showcase their skills, and Dosu plans to collaborate with other stakeholders to expand the project.

 

As the season progresses, the spotlight will be on the goalkeepers, and this initiative could contribute significantly to the development of talent in Nigerian football.
