2025/2026 NPFL Matchday 15 Preview: Wikki Tourists Target Winning Momentum Against Bendel Insurance

Bendel Insurance face a crucial test as they host Wikki Tourists in one of the headline fixtures of Matchday 15 of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

For the Benin Arsenals, the stakes are higher than ever. Sitting 18th on the log with 13 points from 14 matches, the relegation-threatened side cannot afford to drop points at home if their survival hopes are to remain intact.

The club has recorded only two wins, seven draws, and five losses so far—an underwhelming return that led to a recent managerial change.

But the Bauchi Elephants are equally ambitious. Wikki Tourists head coach Abdul Maikaba insists his side is not travelling to Benin merely to participate.

Maikaba believes a road win is achievable and has urged his players to replicate the intensity and hunger they displayed in their impressive outing against Bayelsa United.

“The atmosphere in camp remains positive, with players showing sharpness and focus during training,” Maikaba said after the team’s warm-up drills in Benin.

“With the determination we’ve seen recently, we can secure all three points.”

As both sides battle for precious points, attention turns to the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, where Bendel Insurance will fight to escape relegation danger while Wikki Tourists chase the momentum needed to climb further up the table.

All roads lead to Benin on Sunday for a high-stakes encounter that promises grit, intensity, and plenty to play for on both sides.
