2025/2026 NPFL Matchday 2 Preview: Benin Arsenals Host Oluyole Warriors in Fierce Rivalry

The 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 2 fixture between Bendel Insurance FC and Shooting Stars SC promises to be one of the most exciting encounters of the early season. Both clubs, regarded as sworn rivals in Nigerian football, will be desperate to bounce back after disappointing defeats in their opening games.

 

The rivalry between Bendel Insurance (Benin Arsenals) and Shooting Stars SC (Oluyole Warriors) dates back more than three decades, beginning in the 1970s when both teams regularly fought for honours in the league and the FA Cup.
