The presentation of the jersey was done at his residence in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, ahead of this weekend's kick-off in Sangana and Okpoama centres in Brass Local Government Area of the State.

The brief ceremony was performed by members of the Central Organizing Committee, led by Head of Governmental Affairs and Community Relations, Rev Vincent Dowell.

Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Abraham Ingobere, is expected to take the kick-off at the Sangana centre at 9:00 a.m. as Tough Dynamite FC battles Brass Boys FC.

The Speaker, in a remark, noted that he is elated that the tournament has become the pride of grassroots football in the nation, maintaining that the competition is the launchpad for the discovery of talents.

According to him, the continuous growth of the tournament is indicative of the governor's undiminished commitment to the development of sports, describing the competition as a breeding ground for young players in the State.

He noted that due to official engagements, he would not be able to take the kick-off but has delegated someone to do so at the Sangana centre, pointing out that he is fully in support of the tournament.
