NPFL Match Day 3 Preview: Barau FC Seeks First Win Against Bendel Insurance

Barau FC will be eager to find their footing in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as they prepare to face Bendel Insurance in Match Day 3. The debutant Maliya Boys have yet to record a victory after two rounds of fixtures, and this weekend presents an opportunity to turn their season around.

 

Head coach Ladan Bosso emphasized the team’s determination to bounce back following a 2-0 defeat to Bayelsa United on Match Day 2. The loss left Barau FC winless after their opening two games, highlighting areas in need of improvement.

 

“We did all we could, but the victory wasn’t ours. We will go back, correct our mistakes, and come stronger in our next home game,” Bosso said. His words reflect a commitment to learning from past performances and enhancing the team’s chances in front of their home supporters.

 

The side will host Bendel Insurance at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, hoping to capitalize on home advantage and secure a morale-boosting win. Currently sitting 18th on the NPFL table with just one point, Barau FC will be looking to climb the standings with a strong performance.
