Aston Villa Complete Double Signing of Ibrahim Mbaye and Taylor Harwood-Bellis

Aston Villa have completed the signings of Senegal winger Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain and England centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis from Southampton on transfer deadline day.

Mbaye, 18, has joined in a deal worth €55 million (£47m) after establishing himself at PSG and featuring in all four of Senegal’s matches at the 2026 World Cup.

He scored three goals and registered two assists in 31 appearances for the French champions last season, while his World Cup goal against France made him the youngest African player to score at a men’s World Cup.

Harwood-Bellis arrives from Southampton for an initial £25m, with a further £5m potentially due in add-ons. The 24-year-old defender, who came through Manchester City’s academy and has earned an England cap, made 134 appearances for Southampton before making the move to Villa Park.

The double deal continues an extremely busy transfer window for Unai Emery, with Villa reshaping their squad after losing several important players.

Morgan Rogers joined Chelsea for £117m, Ezri Konsa moved to Arsenal for £55m and Ollie Watkins completed a move to Al-Hilal, while Villa have also added attackers including Nicolas Jackson and Johan Manzambi.
