Following a successful regular season, the board of the Nigeria National League (NNL) has announced that the 2024/2025 NNL Super 8 will be held in Asaba, the Delta State capital, from July 5 to 12, 2025.

In a statement released by the league, it was confirmed that the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba will host the event, following the approval of Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. The governor's support was attributed to his recognition of the league’s growth and its importance to Nigerian football development.
“We are happy to announce that the sports-loving Governor of Delta State, Hon. Oborevwori, has approved the hosting of the NNL Super 8 in Asaba. We are grateful for this kind gesture, which further cements Delta State’s position as a leading sporting state in the country,” the statement read.
“With this support, we are set to conclude the 2024/2025 season successfully and produce the best teams to advance to the top-flight Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).”
Meanwhile, NNL Chairman George Aluo has assured fans of a thrilling competition. According to him, spectators can expect top-tier football from all eight teams, each of which has a strong chance of securing promotion. He also promised that the league board, in collaboration with the host state, will ensure all logistics are in place to guarantee a smooth and memorable tournament.
“There’ll be no dull moments during the Super 8. Fans will witness high-quality football artistry, and we’re working hand-in-hand with Delta State to make sure everything is in place for a successful event,” Aluo stated.
