Arsenal close to signing Rice, West Ham eyeing other players

According to reports, Arsenal's pursuit of Declan Rice has taken another significant step forward, with West Ham already identifying three potential signings to fill the void left by their captain.
 
West Ham is planning to utilize the funds from Rice's transfer to strengthen various areas of their squad. They have set their sights on Leicester City's Harvey Barnes, as well as midfielders James Ward-Prowse from Southampton and Edson Alvarez from Ajax.
 
While West Ham is currently in pole position to secure Barnes, they may face tough competition from Borussia Dortmund for the signature of Alvarez. In case the pursuit of Alvarez proves challenging, West Ham has lined up Palhinha from Fulham as an alternative option.
 
Rice remains Arsenal's top priority for the summer transfer window, and the North London club appears to have a significant advantage in the race for his signature. Once a suitable transfer fee is agreed upon with West Ham, little stands in the way of this deal progressing swiftly.
