Arsenal Celebrate Premier League Triumph With 2-1 Win Over Crystal Palace

Posted : 24 May 2026

Arsenal marked their Premier League title triumph in style with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, celebrating their first league championship in 22 years.

Mikel Arteta’s side had already secured the title earlier in the week after Manchester City dropped points at Bournemouth, confirming the Gunners as champions. Returning to action for the first time since their celebrations, Arsenal delivered another strong performance to close out their season.

Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring late in the first half, finishing calmly after a well-timed assist from Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian striker had earlier come close, hitting the post and forcing a save from Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

After the break, Arsenal doubled their lead almost immediately when Noni Madueke scored from a set-piece routine, volleying home after Kai Havertz’s headed assist. The goal highlighted Arsenal’s continued strength from dead-ball situations throughout the campaign.

Crystal Palace managed to pull one goal back late on through Jean-Philippe Mateta, but it was not enough to disrupt Arsenal’s celebrations.

At full-time, captain Martin Ødegaard lifted the Premier League trophy amid fireworks, red confetti, and jubilant scenes from the travelling supporters. Players and staff joined in the celebrations, with manager Mikel Arteta thrown into the air by his squad as fans sang club anthems.

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke and his son Josh were present on the pitch to present the trophy, while supporters in the stands continued the celebrations with chants and celebrations well after the final whistle.

The victory capped a dominant season in which Arsenal recorded 26 wins from 38 matches and finished seven points ahead of Manchester City.

The club will now turn their attention to the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, with hopes of completing a historic double.
