Cypriot club Apollon Limassol has officially made a bid for the signing of 2019 Super Eagles invitee Viv Solomon-Otabor. The winger has been a target for Apollon Limassol for a while, with a previous unsuccessful attempt to sign him in the summer transfer window.
Solomon-Otabor, currently in the final five months of his contract with Ukrainian Premier Liga club Rukh Lviv, is awaiting agreement on the transfer fee between the two clubs. He joined Rukh Lviv in January 2022 and has since made 42 appearances, scoring three goals and registering two assists.
The success of the deal remains uncertain as the transfer window in Cyprus is set to close today. If the transfer goes through, Solomon-Otabor will join Apollon Limassol, where he will reunite with former Nigeria U23 international Godswill Ekpolo.
Apart from Birmingham City, Solomon-Otabor has played for various clubs, including Blackpool, Wigan Athletic, Portsmouth, CSKA Sofia, St. Johnstone FC, and Bolton Wanderers. Despite being called up for a Nigeria vs. Brazil friendly in October 2019, he didn't play in the match.
