Ameh Rallies Kun Khalifat Fans for Inter Lagos Showdown

Posted : 22 October 2026

Kun Khalifat FC captain Ameh Joseph has urged supporters to create an intimidating atmosphere at the Dan Anyiam Stadium as the club prepares to host Inter Lagos FC in Sunday's Matchday 10 fixture of the 2026/27 EuroMatch Nigeria Premier Football League.

Ameh believes the backing of the Owerri-based club's supporters could prove decisive as Kun Khalifat seek a positive result against their Lagos visitors.

The skipper described the fans as an integral part of the team's performances, stressing that their vocal encouragement often puts opponents under pressure.

"We call our supporters the 12th man on the pitch because they have a huge impact. When they sing, they make it very uncomfortable for the opposition to play against us, and we appreciate and love them, so it's very important for us to give them a good game," Ameh said.

He added that the players were determined to reward the supporters' loyalty with a committed performance and a favourable result.

Kun Khalifat will approach the encounter seeking to build on their recent form, with the clash presenting another opportunity to strengthen their campaign.

Ameh's appeal underscores the importance of home support as the team prepares for a potentially demanding contest against Inter Lagos on Sunday.
