The 10th edition of the prestigious AMAPRO Football Championship is set to kick off on Monday, July 7, 2025, in Ilorin, with reigning champions Abraysports FC eyeing a historic third consecutive title.
Abraysports FC, winners in 2023 and 2024, will begin their title defense against Unity FA in the Group A opener scheduled for 8:00 a.m. at Pitch A of the Kwara Football Academy (KFA).
Also in Group A, Kasam FC will face Laycon FA in a simultaneous early kickoff at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, George Innih Stadium.
In Group B, 2023 finalists and hosts KFA will take on Gateway Football Academy at 10:00 a.m. at KFA Pitch A, aiming to reclaim the crown they lost to Abraysports two years ago.
At the same time, DollyP FA will square off against Dickalo FA at the Main Bowl in what promises to be a fiercely contested Group B encounter.
The action shifts to Group C in the afternoon, where HMK FC will battle DA Faria SC at 2:00 p.m. at KFA Pitch A, while Gaa Akanbi FC takes on Araba FC at the Main Bowl, also at 2:00 p.m.
Group D will headline the final matches of the opening day. NPFL All Stars, finalists in 2024, will face Excel FA at 4:00 p.m. at the Main Bowl, while HOP FA takes on Discovery FA at KFA Pitch A, also at 4:00 p.m.
The opening day of AMAPRO 2025 promises a full slate of exciting fixtures as 16 grassroots teams begin their quest for glory in one of Nigeria’s top talent-showcasing tournaments.
The final is scheduled for Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.
