Ama Smile, Kiraa Record Emphatic Wins as 1XCup Ikorodu Zone Heats Up

Ama Smile FC and Kiraa FA recorded emphatic victories as the race for places in the knockout stage of the 2026 1XCup intensified on Saturday during an action-packed matchday in the Ikorodu Zone at the Inspire Sports Arena.

Ama Smile FC delivered one of the performances of the day, cruising to a convincing 4-0 victory over Buquenson FA. The dominant display showcased their attacking quality and defensive solidity as they strengthened their credentials as genuine contenders for the title.

Kiraa FA matched that feat in the day's final fixture, overpowering Arubinjaga FA 4-0 with an entertaining display of pace, creativity, and clinical finishing to cap another memorable round of matches.

Earlier, Brighton FA and Utmost FC shared the spoils in a keenly contested 1-1 draw that produced end-to-end action and several goalscoring opportunities.

Both teams fought hard for maximum points but ultimately settled for a draw after an evenly balanced encounter.

Adhoc FA also continued their impressive run in the competition with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Believe FA.

A disciplined performance in midfield, coupled with efficient finishing in front of goal, ensured Adhoc FA claimed all three points while keeping another clean sheet.

Saturday's fixtures produced 13 goals across four matches, underlining the attacking intent and growing quality of football on display in the Ikorodu Zone.
