AFCON 2024: Peseiro acknowledges tough task ahead

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has expressed his anticipation for a challenging competition as the team gears up for the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast. 


This marks Peseiro's debut in the tournament with the Nigerian side, and he is already contemplating the formidable scenarios that lie ahead.


In sharing his thoughts, Peseiro remarked, "I foresee a tournament filled with strong and demanding competition during the upcoming African Cup of Nations. 


The participating teams are all distinguished, each harboring a strong desire to clinch victory in the competition."


As the Super Eagles embark on their journey, their opening match is scheduled for January 14th against Equatorial Guinea. 


Subsequently, they will face the host nation Ivory Coast in their second encounter, and the final group stage match will see them up against Guinea Bissau. 


Peseiro and the entire team are gearing up for an intense series of matches, fully aware of the tough challenges that await them on the path to potential success in the tournament.
