AC Milan Blow Two-Goal Lead in 2-2 Draw With Parma

Posted : 09 November 2025

AC Milan missed the chance to go top of Serie A on Saturday after squandering a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with a spirited Parma side at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

Milan raced into a comfortable lead midway through the first half, with Alexis Saelemaekers opening the scoring before Rafael Leão converted from the penalty spot to make it 2-0 by the 25th minute. Stefano Pioli’s men appeared to be cruising, but Parma struck back just before halftime through Adrian Bernabé, who curled in a superb effort to halve the deficit.

The home side continued to press after the break, and their persistence paid off when Enrico Delprato glanced home a header to level the score — his first goal since January — after Mateo Pellegrino had hit the post moments earlier. The result moved Parma two points clear of the relegation zone.

Milan, meanwhile, could have snatched victory late on but wasted two clear chances. Substitute Christian Pulisic rolled wide when through on goal, and Saelemaekers blasted over the bar with the net gaping after rounding goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.

The dropped points leave Milan level with Napoli at the top of the table, though both Roma and Inter Milan — a point behind — could leapfrog them on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Juventus were held to a goalless draw by Torino in a tense Turin derby, with both goalkeepers producing key saves to deny Che Adams and Weston McKennie. Juve now sit fifth on 19 points, three behind the league leaders.
