2023/2024 NPFL Match Day 28: Abia Warriors set sights on Plateau United FC's all-important clash, says Captain Njoku

Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has now shifted attention to the Nigeria Premier Football League encounter against Plateau United Football Club of Jos after a successful Abia FA Cup campaign, says the club captain, Augustine Njoku.


Recall that the Warriors are looking to secure all the maximum points, having drawn their last two home games against Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi and Sunshine Stars of Akure.


According to the team's captain, Njoku, the match against the Peace Boys from Jos is a must-win match for Abia Warriors, and they are mentally prepared for the encounter.


The match will be played at 4 pm at the Umuahia Township Stadium.


Already the team's captain Njoku and Daniel Ijeh are out with minor injuries and will play no part in the game. While Kelechi Nnochiri has commenced training but did not get the all-clear message to join the pack.


However, the midfield stalwart, Daniel Wotlai, shook off the injury he sustained in the final of the State FA Cup to make the team's list.
