3SC Chairman, Akoro fires team up against Rivers United

The Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Babatunde Akoro, has tasked the team to go for the maximum points against Rivers United on Sunday.


Ahead of the matchday 35 fixture billed for the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Honourable Akoro, in the company of the General Manager, Dimeji Lawal, met with the players and their officials after their morning training session.


While addressing the players, the 3SC boss applauded them for their splendid performance against Abia Warriors last Sunday, tasking them to consolidate on the result with another win over Rivers United on Sunday.


"We have a target and I believe the target is still achievable if we keep winning our games. I am urging you to go to Port Harcourt and secure the maximum points.


"You can see how our fans turned out in large numbers during our last game.


"They are solidly behind us, and if we can do it again against Rivers United, which I believe is possible, you will see more of them," stated the former Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly.


Captain of the team, Malomo Taofeek, while reacting on behalf of the players, expressed the readiness of the team to fight till the end, assuring that they will do their best to secure victory on Sunday.
