Heartland Queens and FC Robo Queens will battle for a place in the final of the 2026 President Federation Cup when they face off in a mouthwatering women's semi-final at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on Wednesday.

The encounter promises to be a fascinating contest between two Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership sides, with both clubs carrying different motivations into one of the biggest fixtures of their season.

For Heartland Queens, the match presents another opportunity to rewrite history. The Owerri-based club has finally broken its long-standing quarter-final barrier after edging Ibom Angels 4-2 on penalties following a 2-2 draw in the last eight.

Having reached the semi-finals for the first time, the Naze Millionaires will now be determined to complete their fairytale run by securing a maiden appearance in the Federation Cup final.

Standing in their way, however, are experienced campaigners FC Robo Queens, who have already shown their title credentials by eliminating defending champions Rivers Angels with a hard-fought 1-0 victory in the quarter-finals.

The fixture also offers Heartland Queens a chance for revenge after their only previous Federation Cup meeting ended in disappointment.

FC Robo Queens defeated the Owerri side 2-0 in the Round of 16 of the 2024 edition in Asaba, and another victory would further strengthen the Lagos club's dominance in this fixture.

Heartland coach Obi Ogbala is expected to retain the core of the squad that delivered against Ibom Angels, banking on their resilience and attacking threat as they seek another memorable result.

On the opposite bench, FC Robo Queens coach Emmanuel Osahon, popularly known as "The Oracle", will be confident his side has the experience and tactical discipline needed to navigate another difficult knockout encounter.

His team has consistently impressed in the competition and will be aiming to reach yet another Federation Cup final.
