2026 President Federation Cup: Nasarawa Amazons Set Up Epic Clash Against Heartland Queens in Final

Nasarawa Amazons and Heartland Queens have booked their places in the final of the 2026 Women’s President Federation Cup, setting the stage for a thrilling title showdown at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, on July 11.

Both teams secured hard-fought 2-1 victories in their semi-final encounters on Wednesday to advance to the championship match.

Nasarawa Amazons continued their impressive cup campaign by overcoming Sunshine Queens 2-1, earning a second consecutive appearance in the final. The Lafia-based side had earlier demonstrated their resilience in the quarter-finals, defeating Edo Queens 5-3 on penalties after a goalless draw.

The Amazons will be aiming to reclaim the prestigious trophy they last won in 2019 and erase the disappointment of their defeat to Rivers Angels in the 2025 final. Victory in Asaba would hand them a second Federation Cup title.

Heartland Queens, meanwhile, reached the final for the first time after edging FC Robo Queens 2-1 in the semi-finals. The Owerri side had also shown great determination in the quarter-finals, advancing past Ibom Angels through a penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw.

Buoyed by their historic run, Heartland Queens will be seeking to cap an outstanding campaign with their maiden President Federation Cup crown.

With both teams displaying grit, consistency and character throughout the competition, the final promises to be a fiercely contested battle between two sides determined to etch their names into Nigerian women's football history.

The women's final will be played alongside the men's final at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State.

As anticipation builds ahead of the title decider, both teams will be eager to complete their impressive journeys with silverware. The final presents an opportunity for Nasarawa Amazons to reclaim former glory, while Heartland Queens chase a historic first triumph in the competition.
